Green Mt, here we come

Holy News Batman

So we got a phone call from Carla and she just got back from her vacation. She said she had a great time, the weather was great, the night life was great, and getting engaged was great. Wait, What?!
That's right, Jeff popped the question, we assume after not thinking about it toooooo long Carla said "YES". Carla also replied "Now we get to have another party". There's a girl with her priority's right in line. Congratulations to you both, we are very happy for you.

Top Chef: The Fantasy Game

As the subtitle to The Gilded Truffle group says "The strange obsession now has a points system". What I didn't have a firm grasp on until this morning was what the actual point system was. Here are some the ways to earn and lose points with the three chefs you pick each episode:


Positive Points
1. Winning Quickfires and Elimination Challenges - obvious
2. Being liked but ultimately not winning the challenges
3. Yelling out how much time is left on the clock
4. One Point for being beeped by the FCC. Max of five points per character per episode. So find the filthy mouthed chefs and score!

Negative Points
1. Being eliminated
2. Sucking at cooking
3. Over/under salting/seasoning food

After our first week of competition Coley has a one point lead with 14 points. Colleen and Brendan are right on his heels with 13 and 12 points respectively. Rhonda took a bit of a hit by picking Ashley who finished in the bottom of the elimination challenge and is generally a dirty girl...Dirty as in Pig Pen dirty. Holly had a little oops and forgot to pick three chefs setting herself up for the greatest comeback in league history.

Left Coast Style

This is an excellent idea. I don't have a whole lot to report yet. Colleen should be starting work next Monday, we are hopefully getting our apartment this week, I'm still applying to and waiting to hear back from jobs, I've been surfing a bunch, we've been puppy-sitting for Chris and Lisa's 10 week old mutt Lucy. I'll post an address and pictures once we have a place to call our own.
